Experience and Education

Pamela works with high-net-worth individuals, foundations, endowments and retirement plans. She has experience in the review and analysis of equity and fixed income investments, both in the secondary market and on a direct investment basis, having worked on mergers and acquisitions as well as asset-liability management within a large bank environment. She helps individuals make the transition to financial independence after life-altering events, such as the death of a spouse or divorce.

Prior to joining Mariner Wealth Advisors, Pamela was vice president and a senior portfolio manager at Fifth Third Asset Management. She was responsible for the investment relationships of institutional clients, such as endowments, foundations and pension plans, working with them and their consultants on investment-related matters, conducting investment reviews and helping set portfolio strategies to meet client objectives.

Previously, Pamela was vice president and a portfolio manager at Commerce Bancshares in St. Louis, where she managed investment portfolios for institutional and high-net-worth clients. She also served as the firm’s financial-stock analyst for the value and core equity strategies. In her 10 years at Commerce, she worked in corporate credit analysis, mergers and acquisitions and asset liability management prior to becoming a portfolio manager.

Pamela has a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in Japanese studies from Washington University. She received an MBA in finance from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She is a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society of Cincinnati and Louisville.

Pamela was named to Forbes’ Top Women Wealth Advisors Best-In-State for Kentucky, ranking #3 in 2024, #2 in 2023 and #1 in 2022. She was also named to Forbes’ Best-In-State Wealth Advisors list, ranking #10 in Kentucky in 2023, #18 in 2022 and #39 in 2021. Additionally, she was named to Barron’s Top 1,200 Advisors list, ranking #12 in Kentucky 2023.

Personal Interests

Pamela is a governor appointee to the Kentucky Retirement System (KRS) Board. She also serves as a trustee on the board of the Frazier History Museum in Louisville and is a trustee and vice president of the Louisville Ballet board. Previously, Pamela was a member of the board of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and a member of the board of trustees for the Cincinnati Ballet as well as the Cincinnati Ballet Foundation. She currently serves as a member of the Tocqueville Steering Committee for the Metro United Way of Louisville.
